When Allah breathed His Spirit into
Adam He gave Adam the responsibility and the ability
as His Khalifah to help bring into being a world right
in every way, all of it according to the Will of
Allah.
This future that Allah wanted for Adam
and his descendents has not yet come to be.
The Khalifah Program and methods we are
using at ADNI Islamic school provide a means for us as
Muslims to get back on the right path and begin making
the sinful world of today in a virtual paradise on
earth, pleasing to Allah.
While some of the language and concepts
of the Khalifah Program and method way sound new to
those used to traditional Muslim ways of speech and
thinking, everything in the Khalifah Program and its
methods had their origins in the Qur’an, Sunnah of our
beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and the
interpretations of Islamic scholars both from the
early days of Islam and from the present.
There is good reason to believe that
traditional Islamic belief and practice, with the
addition of the Khalifah ‘tool’ for helping to bring
about positive changes in the hearts and minds of
today’s Muslim youth can stop the long downward slide
of Muslim society and return us to the highest
position in all fields of human endeavour.
We want to send out from our Islamic
schools students whose brilliant minds, kind manner,
hard work, social rightness, and spiritual practice
will enable them to succeed, even in today’s secular
materialistic society, that they will be as beacons of
human rightness respected and admired by all who meet
them.
No Islamic education program or method
can succeed without dedicated Muslim teachers,
motivated and willing, to put those programs or
methods into practice as part of their service to
Allah and in fulfillment of their own role as Khalifah
of Allah.
You are the teachers who can effect the
future of our students and help determine the future
of the Muslim Ummah.
Last year at ADNI Islamic School
we only put a very small part of the Khalifah Program
into practice. We are so very thankful that even in
that somewhat difficult beginning year you as good and
dedicated Muslim teachers were able to achieve a
remarkable degree of success using the tool of the
Khalifah method.

" This year, due to circumstances of my
failing health and realizing this is likely our last
chance to see how much can be achieved when using the
Khalifah Method at its full potential, the directors
of ADNI Islamic School have committed to carry out the
Khalifah Program in its fullest practice and to the
best of our ability."
Bro.
(Prof.) Muhammad Al’Mahdi
This
year the Khalifah method is to be the educational
philosophy of ADNI Islamic School. All teachers will
be asked to do several simple things during every
class period to help support and magnify the effects
of the Khalifah program. What is being asked of you to
support the Khalifah Program has been unanimously
approved by the ADNI School Directors, the Principal,
and the Headmistresses.
These are the three simple things you
as a teacher at ADNI Islamic School are being asked to
do this year:
1. Each class period find
at least two ways to remind the students that they are
Khalifah of Allah.
2.
Each class period find
at least five positive comments you can make to
students praising any good behaviour they might have
shown or good characteristics they have.
3.
Each class period
consistently enforce the list (to be provided) of
school rules, but do so with ‘kind discipline.
1. Examples of ways to remind the
students they are Khalifah of Allah:
“I love to think myself being a Khalifah of Allah,
given the ‘Aql (mind) to remember Allah all the time
at all place… I’m sure you love to think that too...”
“… don’t forget, we are the Khalifah of Allah, so we
should try harder in our studies because we want to
make the world a better place to live!”
“… come on boys! I want to be a good Khalifah by
teaching you this… so, don’t you think you should try
the same by paying more attention to the class?”
2. Examples of ways to praise students
for good behaviour of positive characteristics:
“Thank
you for being so attentive today, I really appreciate
it”
“Hey…that is amazing! I left the class for ten minutes
and everybody was behaving so well!”
“I really like every time you pass up your homework on
time… and because of that I’m sure Allah will reward
you for being good Khalifah!”
“Do you think you can always line up and walk properly
to the canteen like today? Because I just love to see
you all walking in an orderly manner…”
3. Examples of how to enforce school rules with ‘kind’
discipline:
Þ
Keep reminding the students to follow the rules
“Dear
girls… I know you like to look good all the time, but
don’t you think we should learn to be punctual all the
time?”
“Boys… you might think that hitting your friends is
just for fun, but unfortunately the little brother
Khalifah don’t know that. That gives them bad
messages…”
“Class, we had agreed last week that we want to keep
the classroom clean and nice, hadn’t we? So, let’s
keep our promise…”
If you do only that much it will
virtually guarantee a major success in helping our
students to develop excellent Islamic character this
year. If you would like to do more than follow those
three simple guidelines, we will be providing monthly
Khalifah training session for all teachers, and we
would encourage you to become regular visitors to the
khalifah lodge where more personal opportunities to
learn more will be available.
We are shaping the children
- to
WANT to be good
- to
LOVE
what Allah loves
- to
DISLIKE what is wrong
*******
Remember,
we are not
making
them do good..
Instead,
we are
instilling the desire to be good.
Let’s go back to the main objectives of the program…
 |
Instill Correct
Islamic Akhlaq. |
 |
Not Just To
Make Them To Want To Be Good,
But To Love Being Good.. |
 |
Excel
In The World And In The Hereafter. |
 |
The Most Important Aim Is
To Love Allah. |
