Lesson
1
:
Introduction to Khalifah..............................................................................
Tell the children these few things:
»
Allah created
us to be
His Khalifah
on this earth. (Al Baqarah 30).
»
We are created
to make the physical world
to be a
better
place (‘immaarah).
»
Unfortunately
the world now is not the best place
to live in.
»
But
we are going to change it,
so that the world will become the best place human
can imagine.
»
Just simply
follow the little steps,
and the world will become better.

Lesson
2 :
Roles Of Khalifah.........................................
The 3 Important Roles of Khalifah
1.
Make self good
By making ourselves good Muslim- do
what Allah wants us to do and leave what Allah
forbids. (Al Hasyr 7).
2.
Help others become good
By commanding the right and forbidding
the wrong- using beautiful words and wisdom. (Luqman
17).
3.
Make the physical world good (clean and
beautiful).
By being keeping our place clean
and orderly. (Al Baqarah 195)
How can we carry out the 3 responsibilities?
We carry out the responsibilities by struggling for
good against evil – that is what we call in Islam as
Jihad.
And this is where
Taqwa
(Love and Fear of Allah) is required..
In fact, commanding the right and forbidding the wrong
(‘Ammar Ma’ruf Nahi Mungkar)
is not definitely not an easy task..
and the best way to do so is by using
Beautiful Words and Wisdom
. (AnNahl : 125).

Lesson
3 :
Influence
On Personality...................
Whatever the children see..
Whatever the children hear..
Will be written into their minds..
That is how influences work..
BUT
we can build their perception
as the filter.. and strengthen the inner speech (soul)
to face the challenging modern world.

MonkEy See..
MoNkeY Do..
Can you believe this?
Students
watch their teachers everyday and most of the time try
so hard to imitate them. Just like how prefects and
class monitor act as if they have authority while the
teachers are not around!

Lesson
4 :
Reward And Punishment............................................................................
This is what learning is all about..
REWARD
AND
PUNISHMENT
REWARD
If a student did an action,
and he is rewarded
for doing it, he will, in the future repeat
it.
Why is
PUNISHMENT NOT EFFECTIVE
when used to shape positive traits?
1.
Only effective when
children feel threatened
by it.
2.
Causes anger and hatred towards those who punish.
3.
Children
will try to
hide their negative actions to avoid getting punished.
4.
Punishment
satisfies the anger of the one doing the punishing, but unfortunately, the
children don’t learn.
-
Children learn that punishment is
the way to get what they want.

Lesson
5 :
Shaping........................................................................................................
·
The Shaping Process Takes Time..
·
There will be many Little Steps Toward The Goal which
some Are Not Going to be Easy..
·
Reward each steps for however small the progress is..
·
Never stop trying or never quit to achieve your goal.
·
Just Start From Where You Are..
·
Start Shaping Today!

Lesson
6 :Self
Control....................................................................................................
Everybody should learn to
practise
self-control.
It is
very important.
Try this:
Set a stopwatch, sit properly - try hard not to make
any movements. Apart from blinking and breathing, test
how long you can control yourself. Adults might have
better self-control compared to children, but it is a
fact that they can be trained.. Repeat several times,
each time engthening the
period you can control your movements. TRY IT!
Lesson
7 :
Origin Of The Universe...................................................................................
1st stage
Photon
(single light energy)
2nd stage
Sub-atomic particles
(proton,
electrons and neutrons)
3rd stage
Atoms
(hydrogen,
helium etc.)
4th stage
Molecules
(water,
lead, carbon etc.)
5th stage
Biological life
(simple e.g. amoeba to complex e.g. animals)
6th stage
Adam

Lesson
8 :
Listing Good And Bad......................................................................................
What Allah likes : RIGHT
WRONG
: What Shaitan likes
Ž
There is nothing in between that Allah and shaitan
like – in big or small matters.
Ž
Any right step/action big or small will lead us to
closer to Allah
Ž
Any wrong step/action big or small will lead us to
closer to Shaitan.
Ž
No moment is the same as the one before; it’s either
you’re moving toward Allah or away from Allah!

Lesson
9 :
Jihad..................................................................................................................
What is
J – I – H – A – D
?
Jihad is not
-
Only fighting the enemies using weapons.
-
Holy war

jihad.
To not sleep while the teachers teaching is
jihad.
To not watch television is
jihad.
To make da’wah is
jihad.
To not call friends with bad names is
jihad

Lesson
19 :Adab..............................................................................................................
»
Adab
means to
put things and actions
in the
right place.
»
Adab is not manners but manners are part of adab.

Lesson
11-13 :
Kindness....................................................................................................
CAMPAIGN KINDNESS
It
is important that every child learn kindness and good
habits early in life.
Kindness also includes being generous,
compassionate and friendly.
For instance:
·
Pleasant nature arising from sympathetic and
tolerance.
·
Spending time with others
·
cut off the mentality of “me first!”
·
Being generous
Suggestions to show kindness:
·
demonstrate of lenient character
·
Be open-minded and flexible.
·
Show mercy to those younger than us
·
Be respectful and considerate to those older than us
·
Sharing with those who less fortunate
·
Volunteer time and talents
·
Help people with practical needs
Praising Kindness
Promotes Achievement
When a student studies hard and
prepares his schoolwork, higher achievement is a
natural result.
On the contrary, higher achievement can
also be obtained when some students cheat.
Thus, teachers must only praise
to focus on why they were
praised.
For instance:
“I’m thrilled with your hard work which
has enabled you to earn an ‘A’ in your math test,”
rather than, “Great job! You got an ‘A’ on the Math
Test.”
This kind of praise promotes unfailing
consistence and encourages greater success.

Lesson
14-16 :
Sincerity....................................................................................................
CAMPAIGN SINCERITY
People who are sincere and trustworthy
can succeed in building a successful life.
Sincerity includes being honest
and truthful.
·
Doing what is right when others are
watching and even when there is no one else is around.
·
Being committed.
·
Trying to be someone you are not.
Suggestions to Become Sincere
·
A teacher must establish the necessary
trust in a working or teaching relationship.
·
Being consistent by not repeating the
same wrong.
·
Doing what is right all the time and in
every place.
Genuine Praise
Do not praise achievements as it tends
to motivate insincerity but rather a teacher should
praise the good character
in the student.
For
instance:
·
Relate responsibilities to
character quality
“Hassan is responsible
to tidy the classroom everyday after school. He is
very thorough and diligent in his work.
·
Avoid comparing people
Don’t
say:
“Dina is the smartest
student I have.”
By making character a primary focus
each day, teachers can be far more effective in
shaping life-long character traits.

Lesson
17-19 :Patience......................................................................................
CAMPAIGN PATIENCE
To accomplish patience is to see the
importance of overcoming difficulties and hardships
during the course of our life. Patience includes forgiveness,
tolerance and
perseverance.
When you have patience you stand
strong, holding your balance spiritually, emotionally
and physically without surrendering or losing hope.
If one persists in patience:
·
it will eventually become part of their
nature and instinct
·
one will easily forgive others of their
wrong and try to overcome it with good
·
it will protects one’s emotional state
and encourages offenders to cease their offensive
behaviour.
Suggestions to Show Patience:
·
overrule feelings of anger and
afflictions
·
ability to tolerate and compromise
·
not to find faults that put others down
·
exercise forgiveness

Lesson
20-22 :Faith...........................................................................................
CAMPAIGN FAITH
Faith represents the total sum of all
the other character qualities demonstrated in
truthfulness, patience and obedience. It includes
being virtuous and
loyal.
Virtue
is also:
· doing
what is right as it not only protects society from the
consequences of dishonesty and a lack of
integrity.
· motivating
a person to resist the impulse to do wrong and take
the action to do what is right.
The Role of Virtuous Leadership
·
It involves encouraging others to do
what is right
·
Not being a hypocrite
·
Whatever goes in comes out. If a
person’s actions and words are to be virtuous, the
things he or she sees and hears must reflect virtue
too.
Suggestions to Show Virtue:
·
A virtuous person will carefully guard
against influences that can damage or pollute the mind
or body
·
While it is not wise to isolate oneself
from every part of the society, it is wise to be
surrounded with people of food character.
Consistent Praise Builds Virtue
·
Being virtuous can involve tough
decisions. Praising is one way to encourage and
strengthen decisions.
·
When praising one’s character, remember
it is something he or she has and can keep, no matter
what the circumstances.

Lesson
23-25 :
Obedience................................................................................................
CAMPAIGN OBEDIENCE
True obedience involves willingness to
sacrifice personal comfort in response to the call of
duty or to an authority. Obedience includes
enthusiasm, diligence, discernment and
self-control.

·
fully complying with directions
specified by authority
