Crunch Bars



 
 
 

Ingredients:
 
              CRUST
     
  •       1/2  cup   margarine
  •       3/4  cup   sugar
  •       2              eggs
  •       1       ts    vanilla
  •       3/4  cup   flour
  •       1/2  ts      baking powder
  •       1/4  ts      salt

 
                        TOPPING
 
  •     1      package       (6 oz.) chocolate chips
  •     1      cup           peanut butter
  •     1 1/2  cups          Rice Krispies
  •                          Miniature marshmallows

 
Direction:

  Cream shortening and sugar.  Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.  Add flour, baking
  powder and salt.  Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan.  Bake 15 to 20 minutes at
  350 degrees.  Remove from oven, place marshmallows evenly on crust.  Return to
  oven for 2 minutes.  Cool 30 minutes.  Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter.
   Add cereal.   Mix, then spread on bars.
