Ingredients:
  • crust from 2 slices of white bread
  • 1 lb. of flaked white fish
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste
  • One tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves or parsley
  • breadcrumbs and matzo meal

    Direction:

    Remove the crust from 2 slices of white bread and soak in water for a couple of minutes. Squeeze out the water and crumble the bread into 1 lb. of flaked white fish. Add 1 small chopped onion, 1 tablespoon tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste. One tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves or parsley is optional. Divide the mixture into balls the size of a walnut. Flatten, coat with breadcrumbs and matzo meal and deep fry in hot oil.
    Drain and serve hot with a variety of vegetables and relishes.
