Brief Profile of Khalifah Institute

Khalifah Institute is a private Islamic charitable trust with the purpose and goal of the creation of a fully and truly Islamic world. Although Khalifah Institute is young, it is based on the 40-year lifework of its founder, Prof. Dr. Muhammad al’Mahdi, a dedicated Muslim child psychologist, theoretical physicist, and student of Islamic theology.

There are two main issues today. First, the Muslim ummah, have not fully understood Allah’s purpose in creating the human race to be His Khalifah on Earth. Second, we have failed to heed the advice and warnings of the early pious scholars who told us that Allah has provided us with two books of revelation, the Qur’an and His physical creation.

Khalifah Institute, through training programs and publications, can help us understand that as Khalifah of Allah we have received the greatest honour ever bestowed by Allah on His physical creation, and to develop a great love in our hearts for this most majestic role. As Khalifah of Allah we can succeed in this great task through positive jihad, with knowledge as the weapon. Khalifah Institute is working to spread the knowledge of traditional Islamic belief and practice combined with logic, reason, and modern scientific knowledge consistent with our Islamic beliefs. From a correct Islamic perspective, there now exists a scientific proof of the existence of God based on the universally accepted facts of modern physics.

Brief CV of Professor Muhammad al-Mahdi

Prof Muhammad is a white American Muslim convert. He spent 14 years as a full time university student in the USA, including three Ph.D. programs, in child, clinical, and experimental psychology. He was an Assistant Professor of Child/Clinical psychology, worked for the US government as a research director in children’s values education, and was a Chief Psychologist for Head Start (a nationwide federal early child development program in the U.S.).He was also trained in nuclear electronics and theoretical physics at a world’s top research laboratory.

He was Director of Malaysia: Nation of Character Program (MNOC) for LPPKN in the Ministry of Women and Family Development, director of parent training for ABIM, and lecturer for SABA Islamic Media on parenting and Signs of the Creator. He is coordinator/advisor of the Khalifah Project model school program in ADNI Islamic school. Prof now run one of the world’s largest Islamic websites (islamic-world.net) which is visited over 2.5 million times each month from 130 countries.

Prof believes in a kind, tolerant and loving form of Islam. He is devoting his last days teaching children the importance of love in their hearts and minds for Allah. He gives Muslims an ‘armour’ for their faith against the attack of Western secular materialism which threatens to steal their spirituality from them.
