To Tsunami Contributors

Any organization seeking donations to fund their activities at this time must necessarily address the fact that there is presently an ongoing worldwide appeal of unprecedented proportions for donations to help the survivors of the recent tsunami tragedy. The suffering of the victims of that most terrible event must rightly receive the highest priority now and for the foreseeable future to allow them to get some semblance of normality back into their lives, and ensure a meaningful future.

Regardless of the fact that so many of you will have already contributed generously to the survivors of the worst natural disaster in recent memory (as did we), the Khalifah Institute in order to continue its activities must also request your help. In order to justify a decision to extend your generosity at this time by making a financial contribution to the running of the Khalifah Institute there is some important information you should know.

Although the Khalifah Institute is fairly new, the knowledge and techniques behind our activities have been under intense development for over 35 years. Let us leave no doubt as to the purpose of the Khalifah Institute; we are attempting to bring about positive changes in human society of such great magnitude that these changes will result in a solution to virtually all problems facing today’s troubled world. This claim is no wild exaggeration, but is completely justified given the enlightened body of knowledge which supports this plan of worldwide social change.

Many of you will have seen or heard some of this extensive body of knowledge and are generally acquainted with our plan of action. We feel sure those of you who do know of the work of the Khalifah Institute will not find even such a grand claim unjustified. In particular, although we often use different language and concepts than those of traditional Islamic scholarship, our deep conviction that the world can become good and right in every way is substantiated by the fact that virtually every aspect of our work is based on an understanding of the revealed knowledge from Allah in the Holy Qur’an and the sunnah of His beloved Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

What we are attempting to do through the Khalifah institute can be best understood by analogy to medical practice. In medicine we have primary, secondary and tertiary levels of treatment. In any disease we have the symptoms of the disease, the disease itself, and the cause of the disease. Tertiary treatment corrects the symptoms of the disease, secondary treatment cures the disease, and primary treatment eliminates the original cause of the disease. Of these three levels of treatment the most useful, of course, is primary treatment which eliminates the cause of the disease.

The many social problems facing humanity today should be seen as the symptoms of a diseased society. Treating these symptoms, which include crime and violence, is very expensive and often ineffective. Trying to cure the disease itself which is the wrong thoughts and harmful beliefs in the consciousness (soul) of society’s members is possible, but difficult, and often too late.

If we can alter the influences of the world which are the cause of the wrong thoughts and harmful beliefs this primary level of treatment can help bring about a healthy society whose members possess cleansed hearts and purified souls. In such a God centered society the disease of wrong thoughts and harmful beliefs would never come to exist, and the symptoms of those diseased minds would never be seen. Without going into the details as to why, it is even true that in a right Islamic world, with its fair economic and social policies, the terrible toll of human lives lost caused by the recent earthquake and tsunami would have been only a tiny fraction of those who did so tragically die.

The good and right world that Allah would want us to have is indeed possible, to help achieve that most wonderful world is the work of the Khalifah Institute. We have the knowledge to help achieve that good and right world, we have the plan to help achieve that good and right world, now we need sufficient financial resources to widely spread this knowledge and to successfully implement this plan.

Please donate generously to allow the khalifah Institute to continue helping right the many wrongs of our present world, and ensure a good and right future for our children. Money donated now to help put an end to the causes of a diseased society will be money saved later when you do not need to provide funds to correct the symptoms of that diseased society.
